Description/Background:

Please review the attached memorandum, state code reference, and redline amendments to the Sandy Municipal Code.

 

This is a first reading that proposes amendments to Title 4 of the Sandy Municipal Code.  The amendments are meant to ensure clarity as to the councils authority to define city departments and divisions, including their functions and duties.  The proposed new Chapter 4-8 defines the functions and duties of the Communications Division.

 

Further action to be taken:

This is a first reading.  Council Member Houseman may bring this item back for a second reading and formal council consideration at a later date.
