City Council Reviewing the Draft City Council Budget Priorities for Fiscal Year 2026-27

Description/Background:
In late January of this year the City Council held a budget priorities workshop for the second year in a row. During the workshop the Council worked with a facilitator to review and update its broad priorities for the upcoming FY 2026-27 budget. Since that time staff has attempted to capture the amendments suggested by the Council, which are attached to this agenda item for Council review.
This evening the council may review the amended priorities document and discuss any additional changes. Included in the packet is Exhibit "A" (the clean version of the FY27 Priorities) and Exhibit "B" (the redline version of the FY27 Priorities).
Further action to be taken:
Should the Council wish to make changes to the attached priorities they may do so this evening or at a future meeting, if that is deemed necessary. Once a final consensus is reached, staff will bring a resolution to adopt the priorities at a future meeting. Staff will also produce, for council approval, a council budget priorities info graphic to be included within the FY27 Budget Booklet.
