Description/Background:

The American West Symphony of Sandy City is a volunteer organization in its 30th season of providing quality music around the Salt Lake Valley. The symphony performs fourteen concerts at various venues each season, including eight educational concerts, a youth symphony collaboration, piano concerto winners concert, and a pops concert at the Sandy Amphitheater.

All orchestra and choir members are volunteers, and come from all walks of life, ranging from dentists and rocket scientists to college and high school students. Many are also musicians in other orchestras around the Salt Lake valley, such as the Salt Lake Symphony. Additionally, many of our volunteers play in musicals performed at the Sandy Amphitheater throughout the summer.
