Description/Background:
On December 15, 2020 the City Council expressed interest in creating or acquiring a online campaign finance reporting system. Staff from the Council Office, City Recorder, Information Technologies, and Finance worked as a team to identify options. On February 16, the Campaign Finance Disclosure Team recommended, and the City Council approved moving forward with Easy Vote Solutions for the creation of a digital reporting system. The City Recorder has subsequently been working with the EasyVote team to complete the project in advance of the candidate filing deadline. The system has been in test phase and is ready for a public demonstration.

No further action required. The City Recorder will be communicating with candidates for office on how to report campaign finances.
