Background:
This presentation will include a brief primer on sustainability efforts and opportunities for local governments followed by emerging clean energy opportunities in Utah. Information will be shared about the recently adopted Community Renewable Energy Act (House Bill 411 <https://le.utah.gov/~2019/bills/static/HB0411.html>) that authorizes communities to collaborate with Rocky Mountain Power on a net-100% renewable electricity portfolio by 2030. Steps and considerations for Sandy City participation will be shared, along with answers to frequently asked questions.
