Description/Background:
The City's Staff Bike Committee has been reviewing the City's Trails Master Plan, specifically the mapped bikeways. The Committe, working with various bike groups and data sets, has identified revisions that are being proposed to improve connectivity and functionality of the bicycle network in the Trails Master Plan. The proposal also includes an addition of better coordinate the City's Plan with the Salt Lake County Bikeway Design Manual by adding a trail type to the Master Plan

Following a recommendation by the Planning Commission, the item will be presented to the City Council for a final determination.

Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Planning Commission forward a positive recommendation to the City Council to adopt the proposed bikeway revisions to the Trails Master Plan of the Sandy City General Plan.

• Forward a negative recommendation of the proposed amendment to the City Council
• Forward a recommendation proposing a modified amendment to the City Council
• Table the decision
