City Council interview with Matthew B. Huish for the position of Chief Administrative Officer.

Description/Background:
On December 12, 2017 the City Council approved a process when considering its advice and consent for mayoral appointments. The process included a background check, a current resume, a formal interview, and a possible closed session as permitted by state law to consider the character, competency, physical, or mental health of an individual. A memo from Human Resources indicating a clear criminal background check for Mr. Huish is attached. A copy of Mr. Huish's resume was provided to the Council at an earlier date. The City Council Office recommends the Council take the time it deems appropriate to interview Mr. Huish, and if needed, close the meeting to discuss personnel issues consistent with state law.

There is no direct fiscal impact associated with this item.
Further action to be taken:
Administration will complete the hiring paperwork should the City Council consent to the appointment.
