Description/Background:
On August 29, 2017 the City Council approved Resolution 17-45C, indicating the intent to annex an unincorporated area, setting a hearing to consider such an annexation, and directing publication of hearing notice.
Christopher Honeysett is requesting annexation for a property located at 3121 E. Deer Hollow Dr. The area under consideration for annexation contains a one acre parcel, which has a single family dwelling on-site. The applicant is proposing to annex this property into the City and is requesting the R-1-40A zone (single family residential on a minimum of 40,000 square feet with animal rights). The applicant is the property owner and has consented to be annexed. The applicant did talk to the adjacent neighbors and they are not interested in being annexed at this time.

Recommendation
The Community Development Department is recommending that the City Council adopt Ordinance 17-24, annexing territory located at approximately 3121 E. Deer Hollow Dr. in Salt Lake County, comprising approximately 1.0 acres into Sandy City, and establishing zoning for the annexed property. On September 21, 2017, the Planning Commission forwarded a positive recommendation to approve the Honeysett Annexation.
