Description/Background:
On September 29, 2015 the City Council adopted a Long Term Financial Plan policy. The policy requires the Administration to adopt a Long Term Financial Plan and to review the Plan with the City Council at least annually. The Finance Department provided a FY 2015-16 Long Term Financial Analysis to the City Council on November 17, 2015 which provides various revenue and expenditure projections for the General Fund. The analysis has been revised from time to time to reflect the current financial picture and to demonstrate additional financial scenarios.
The amendments to the Long Term Financial Plan policy expands the analysis to other funds in addition to the General Fund. The Finance Department has already been working to broaden the scope of their analysis.
