Description/Background:

On June 19, 2008, the Planning Commission reviewed and approved the Final Parking and Access Management Plan for the Real Salt Lake Soccer Stadium (SPR-06-40).  One of the conditions of approval required that Real return to the Planning Commission annually to review and update the plan.  Real Soccer and their Transportation Engineer, Ryan Hales, have updated their plan for the 2016 season as shown in the attached document.  A synopsis of the 2016 plan changes are included in an attached document to the updated 2016 Parking and Access Management Plan.

Of concern, there has been a reduction in the number of available stalls throughout the plan due to the purchase of the UDOT property along Monroe St. (south of the old Lowes building) and construction in the East Village by the Civic Center TRAX station. While the plan did not specifically address these reductions, the applicant provided an email explaining that they still exceed the required number of parking stalls (providing 5,127 stalls with a required 4,672 stalls required).

On March 17, 2016, the Planning Commission voted to approve the 2016 Annual Update to the Parking & Access Management Plan.
