Agenda Item Title:

Title

Administrative Services recommending adoption of Community Development fee amendments and related ordinance cleanup

Body

Presenter:

Brian Kelley, Administrative Services Director

Body

Description/Background:

On January 24th, Administrative Services staff proposed fee amendments to the city council for Business Licensing, Planning, and Building Permits as a result of a cost-of-service study conducted and presented by Fred Philpot, a consultant with LYRB. Since then, staff have met with individual council members to discuss the proposed fee amendments in greater depth. A few technical corrections have been made to the fee amendments originally proposed, as well as city ordinance cleanup to align with the proposed fees. Staff recommend that the fees and ordinance be adopted as presented.

In addition to the staff recommendation some Council Members have included additional proposed (attached).

Further action to be taken:

The Council may discuss and/or propose amendments to the staff recommendation. Should the Council decide to make amendments, the resolution and/or ordinance should be adopted "as amended."

Recommended Action and/or Suggested Motion:

Recommendation

Motion #1: Motion to (adopt / deny) Resolution 23-11C (as proposed / as amended).

Motion #2: Motion to (adopt / deny) Ordinance 23-04 (as proposed / as amended).
