Description/Background: Utah Code 10-3b-203 gives authority to the City Council to periodically review municipal administration. This policy proposes a mechanism by which the Council can best determine that all departments have adequate resources, structure, and staffing levels. Through coordination with each department and a third party expert the Council, the Administration, and the Department can identify areas of need and work towards maximizing the efficient use of resources. The First reading for this item was held on May 9, 2023.
Fiscal Impact:
$50,000 annually in funding.
Further action to be taken:
If adopted, the Council Executive Director shall implement the policy as outlined.
