Description/Background:
The Council's tentative adoption of the Mayor's Tentative Budget commences the process of formal Council budget review and establishes another public hearing date of May 30, 2023 to consider final adoption of the FY 2023-24 Budget including any amendments to the Mayor's Tentative Budget that the Council directs. While the public hearing to consider final adoption would begin on May 30, 2023 the Council may continue the hearing, through June 20, 2023, until a final budget is formally adopted.
Further action to be taken:
Staff will notice the May 30, 2023 public hearing and facilitate the Council's review of the budget in the intervening weeks.
