Council Office recommending the City Council discuss and select the 2016 Council Employee of the Year.

Description/Background:
Each year in February at the Appreciation Awards Banquet, the City Council awards "Employee of the Year" recognition on a City employee. The Council Office has requested that department heads and administrators submit names they consider worthy of this award. Details of the awards banquet begin coming together in January so it is beneficial in planning the event to know well in advance who will receive this yearly honor. The names of nominated individuals and the selected recipient are held confidential. Council staff will include the list of names and the nomination letters, but will assign numbers to each individual so the Council can discuss the nominations without revealing identities.
Future Dependent Action:
The Council Chair or other representative of the Council will present the award to the recipient in February at the Appreciation Awards Banquet.
