Description/Background:

Matthew Grant, on behalf of property he owns and also property owned by Barry Evans and Lyle Warner, is requesting a change of zone district on three parcels, subject property, (1.79 acres) at 11562 S., 11563 S., and 11586 S. Hagan Road from the R-1-20 Zone ("Single-Family Residential District") to the R-1-20A Zone ("Single Family Residential District"). All three properties have existing homes and are not large enough to be further subdivided.

 

A neighborhood meeting was held on August 10, 2026. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on August 20, 2026. The Planning Commission forwarded a positive recommendation to the City Council by a vote of 7-0 (see attached minutes).

Further action to be taken:

The action requested by the Application is a rezone, a legislative item, being presented to the City Council, as the final decision-maker, on September 1, 2026 as an informational item and the City Council is scheduled to take action on the application on September 15, 2026.
