Description/Background:
On February 22, 2022, in a first reading, Council Member Mecham discussed city surveys past and present. He identified the need for a consistent and statistically reliable annual survey that the City could count on to gather data from residents regarding key municipal services. During tonight's meeting Council Member Mecham will again identify the key components of a potential survey that will make it both consistent and statistically reliable.
Fiscal Impact:
This type of regular statistically reliable survey will have a cost, once administration is able to explore different options and vendors they will notify the council of the estimated cost. Administration may also request any necessary budget adjustment from the Council once a cost is determined.
Further action to be taken:
Administration will begin exploring possible surveys and vendors that meet the key survey components that have been identified.

Motion directing the administration to review, select a vendor, and develop a consistent and statistically reliable survey that meets the key survey components identified this evening, involving Council Member Mecham in the process as deemed necessary by the administration.
