City Council Office recommending that the Council Amend its 2026 Annual Meeting Schedule to Cancel the October 27, 2026 City Council Meeting

Description/Background:
In accordance with the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act, each year the City Council adopts and publishes an annual meeting schedule. Occasionally that schedule needs to be amended to account changes and new information that becomes available throughout the year. The Council Office has recently become aware of two events that will occur on October 27, 2026 that council members are likely to attend. These include the Utah League of Cities and Towns Annual Convention as well as the South Valley Chamber Titan Awards. For this reason the Council Office recommends cancelling the October 27, 2026 City Council meeting.
