Description/Background:
On 12/19/23 the City Council adopted Ordinance 23-23, an ordinance amending the Sandy Legislative Code to include a new section entitled 3-1-9 Equitable participation in Events by City Officials. This new section requires the adoption of a procedural guide outlining the policies, processes, and procedures behind equitable participation in events. The Ordinance further requested that the Chief Administrative Officer and the City Council Executive Director collaborate to draft said guide.
Further action to be taken:
This is an informational report. A final version of the policies and procedures will be brought back for Council consideration and adoption via resolution.
