Description/Background:
The City has been exploring the acquisition of additional space to address current needs. As a result the City has begun the process of purchasing the "Arbor Building," located adjacent to City Hall. On January 20, 2026, the City Council passed a resolution authorizing the issuance of a bond of not more than $9,000,000 for the purchase of the Arbor Building. Today, Administration is requesting consent from the council to proceed with the purchase of the building.

Recommendation
Optional Motion A: I move that the Council maintain its consent for the purchase of the Arbor Plaza Office Building and related bonding and direct the Administration to proceed with the purchase.
Optional Motion B: I move that the Council revoke its consent for the purchase of the Arbor Plaza Office Building and related bonding and direct the Administration to terminate the purchase.
