Description/Background:

The City has been exploring the acquisition of additional space to address current needs.  As a result the City has begun the process of purchasing the "Arbor Building," located adjacent to City Hall. On January 20, 2026, the City Council passed a resolution authorizing the issuance of a bond of not more than $9,000,000 for the purchase of the Arbor Building. Today, Administration will be providing additional information  concerning the use of the building, projected operating costs, and other City Council considerations before a final vote on the purchase is taken (scheduled for the February 17, 2026 meeting).

This item is informational only, but the Council may use this time to provide any feedback or direction to Administration on the Arbor Building or the purchasing process.
