City Council considers Advice and Consent of Ryan McConaghie to serve as the Sandy City Fire Chief

Description/Background:

Mayor Zoltanski is proposing, for Council Advice and Consent, Ryan McConaghie to serve as the Sandy City Fire Chief.

 

On December 12, 2017 the City Council approved a process when considering its advice and consent for mayoral appointments.  The process included a background check, a current resume, a formal interview, and a possible closed session as permitted by state law to consider the character, competency, physical, or mental health of an individual.  The Council conducted an interview at the Council Meeting on July 23, 2024 of Interim Chief Ryan McConaghie.

 

Further action to be taken:

The council may adopt the attached resolution providing its advice and consent for the candidate to serve as the Fire Chief.
