Mayor Zoltanski is proposing, for Council Advice and Consent, Steve Wrigley to serve as a regular member to the Sandy City Planning Commission
Per the Sandy City Legilsative Code Section 3-1-2, The Council may perform all duties and responsibilities authorized or required by state law. The Council shall give the Mayor its advice and consent in appointments to the Planning Commission and Board of Adjustment.
On December 12, 2017 the City Council approved a process when considering its advice and consent for mayoral appointments. The process included a background check, a current resume, a formal interview, and a possible closed session as permitted by state law to consider the character, competency, physical, or mental health of an individual.
The Council interviewed the candidate on February 14, 2023 and appointed him as an Alternate Commissioner on February 21, 2023. This evening it will consider whether to provide consent to the proposed appointment.
