City Council interviewing Steve Wrigley to serve as an Alternate Member of the Sandy City Planning Commission

Description/Background:
Mayor Zoltanski is proposing, for Council Advice and Consent, Steve Wrigley to serve as an Alternate Member of the Sandy City Planning Commission.
On December 12, 2017 the City Council approved a process when considering its advice and consent for mayoral appointments. The process included a background check, a current resume, a formal interview, and a possible closed session as permitted by state law to consider the character, competency, physical, or mental health of an individual. Tonight the Council will hold the formal interview. A current resume for the candidate will be provided by administration prior to the meeting. The City Council Office recommends the Council take the time it deems appropriate to interview the candidate.
Further action to be taken:
During a future business session, following tonight's interview, the council may adopt a resolution providing its advice and consent for the candidate tto serve as an Alternate Planning Commissioner. Tonight, the Council may choose to close the meeting in order to discuss the character, competency, physical or mental health of an individual. The Council will also be provided with a background check confirmation for the candidate.
