Description/Background:

This award was established by Council Resolution in 2025. The Sandy City Council Civic Engagement Award is presented annually to a recipient nominated and chosen by the City Council in recognition of their civic engagement, impact and service in our Sandy City community. This year the City Council chose Rebekah Cowdell as the 2026 Sandy City Civic Engagement Award recipient. The award will be presented by the Council Chair and Vice Chair.

Description/Background:

The Noal Bateman Award program is sponsored and facilitated by the Sandy City Council and Council Office. Each year the Noal Bateman Committee presents the award to an individual in recognition of their lifetime of service and impact to Sandy City and the community. This year's award recipient is Steve Fairbanks. The Noal Bateman award dinner will be held prior to the Council meeting. A video presentation of Mr. Fairbanks will be shown at the City Council meeting. The award will be presented by the Noal Bateman Co-Chairs.
