Body

Description/Background:

As presented this evening, the City has hired a consultant to update the Sandy Land Development Code. As part of this process a Steering Committee made up of key stakeholders will be created.  The Council may select one or more of its members, staff ,etc. to serve as representatives to the committee.  The purpose of the representative is to be a bridge between the steering committee and the council, to express the voice of the council to the steering committee, and to report to the Council following meetings of the Steering Committee.

From Community Development Staff:
A Steering Committee is established to review and discuss project progress, completed tasks, engagement activities, key decisions, and upcoming deliverables. These meetings will be held quarterly or at major milestones, whichever is more frequent. Dave Bromley will be serving as the Planning Commission representative for the steering committee. City staff request the City Council select a representative to serve on this committee as well; the preference is one representative, but two can also be accommodated if there is strong interest from the Council.

Further action to be taken:

Select one or more representatives.
