Description/Background:

On August 11, 2026 the City Council adopted Resolution 26-78C providing for a special bond election to be held on November 3, 2026 for the purpose of submitting to the voters a proposition regarding the issuance of General Obligation Bonds to finance all or a portion of the costs to acquire, develop, construct, renovate, improve, preserve, equip, and furnish the former Crescent View Middle School Property.

 

A public meeting will be held this evening to hear arguments for and against the ballot proposition.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Up to $30 million in General Obligation Bonds

 

Further action to be taken:

A special bond election will be held on November 3, 2026

Recommendation

The council shall conduct a public meeting regarding the ballot proposition and allow interested parties to be heard regarding arguments for and against the ballot proposition.
