Description/Background:
The purpose of this item is to start to review with the Planning Commission the proposed draft of the General Plan. This will be the first of two review meetings scheduled with the Planning Commission, prior to presenting the draft to the Planning Commission in a public hearing for their consideration of a recommendation to the City Council.
The draft document can be accessed by going to the project website (https://sandypaceofprogress.org). It is available on the home page of the website.

Further action to be taken:
The second review meeting with the Planning Commission is scheduled for October 3, 2024. The public hearing with the Planning Commission is scheduled for October 17, 2024. The Planning Commission is scheduled to make a recommendation to the City Council during that meeting. The City Council is the authorized body for final consideration on the adoption of the document. The City Council is scheduled to start reviewing the document in October.
