Description/Background:
All government employees who access personal data, or supervise those who do, are required to complete annual privacy training, in accordance with Utah Section 63A-19-401.2. This training must be completed within 30 days of starting employment and at least once per calendar year. Governmental entities are responsible for ensuring completion and tracking compliance.
The 2025 Privacy Awareness Training is an 8-minute video designed to introduce the Government Data Privacy Act. It highlights your data privacy obligations, responsibilities, and best practices, and explains the relationship between privacy, records management, and security.

Further action to be taken:
The Council will be required to complete this training annually.
