Description/Background:
On May 13, 2025 The Council recognized Don Gerdy for his service to the City. During that special recognition we briefly discussed a new award which we'll be presenting in more detail this evening. This award will be given out the same evening at the Council meeting following the Noal Bateman dinner. The attached memo and criteria provide additional details relative to the award program and process.
Should the Council approve the creation of the award, we are recommending that Donald Frank Gerdy by the inaugural recipient.
Fiscal Impact:
Annual award to the recipient - Award costs approximately $100 and then inviting the award recipient and their family to attend the Noal Bateman Award dinner - so up to an additional $125 for the dinner.
